Crafted for Prayer grew from a personal devotion to the rosary and from the gift of my grandmother's rosary from Medjugorje - a family keepsake that became a companion in prayer.
Over time, the rosary taught me and my family (who are part of this lay ministry) to bring the people I love, the faithful departed, and even those I have never met before God, one mystery and one bead at a time.
This website was created to help people understand the rosary, learn its prayers, and contemplate the mysteries of Christ's life. Alongside these resources, we handcraft rosaries as tangible invitations to prayer.
Each rosary is assembled by hand with care. Beads, crucifixes, and Marian/religious centres are chosen thoughtfully, not for beauty alone, but because beauty can quiet the heart and draw us toward prayer.
Our hope is that every Crafted for Prayer rosary helps someone begin, return to, or deepen the prayer of the rosary.
The rosary is centred on Jesus. As we pray with Mary and contemplate the mysteries of Christ's life, she continually points us toward her Son.
Our mission is simple: to encourage a living habit of prayer and help people draw closer to Christ - one bead at a time.
Alongside its prayer resources, Crafted for Prayer offers rosary fundraising initiatives in support of designated nonprofit and charitable organizations.
From time to time, and as availability allows, we are honoured to provide rosaries on a pro bono basis in support of worthy causes. If you are a Catholic priest in the Greater Toronto Area seeking assistance for a parish initiative, ministry, or charitable cause, please contact us to discuss how we may be able to help.
